Collection Crossroads

May 1, 2010 by

I am at a crossroads with my collection. As most of you know, I mostly collect St. Louis Cardinals and more specifically, Colby Rasmus, Albert Pujols, Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright. (In that order currently) The first problem I am starting to encounter is one most everyone who collects cards does at some point I would assume and that is: SPACE. My storage space is limited and since baseball cards are not the only thing I collect I am rapidly losing what little I do have. My second problem is again, one I am certain most of you deal with and that is: TIME. I just do not have the time anymore to try to keep up an entire team collection. Running the site and well, life on top of trying to collect individual players, is just getting to be too much. Finally, I just do not have the BUDGET to try to collect the above players individually as well as trying to worry about completing “Team Sets.” Now, I am not saying I won’t trade you for Cardinals cards anymore, or that I am done buying cards all together but I am going to start to tighten the belt so to speak. So as of now, I will be concentrating my collecting on the following players: Colby Rasmus, Albert Pujols, Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright. I am currently working on a “Collection” page where I will post scans of my collections. I will also try to some sort of trade page up where I will list cards that I am currently looking for and cards I am willing to part with. In the meantime, let me know how you deal with the problems, SPACE, TIME and BUDGET with your collection(s).
